Akiko’s holistic massage therapy career began in Japan in 2008 as a Certified Aroma Therapist. She moved to the United States in 2011 to pursue her passion and career. She entered the Natural Healing Massage, LLC Mentorship program in Wainesville, MO, and studied anatomy and physiology at Durey University to complete her education and become a state-licensed massage therapist. Akiko was born and raised in Japan, growing up by the Setouchi Sea surrounded by calm oceans and nature. Her deeply rooted Japanese values guide her, and she believes that each person has the innate ability to heal, renew, and move through life's ever-changing tides with strength and grace. Akiko is dedicated to helping others reconnect with their natural rhythm of balance and vitality.

Akiko offers a balance of skilled therapeutic techniques combined with personalized, intuitive, and compassionate care. She believes that human touch is a healing tool with the power to promote healing and prevent disease.

Her mission is to bring relief and inspire self-awareness—helping each client flow with life’s currents with balance, ease, and renewed vitality.

• Aroma Therapist since 2008, specializing in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Certified) with an IAPA (International Aroma & Phytotherapy Association) Certification from the IAA (International Aromatherapy Academy) in Japan. Certified as an Aroma Adviser in 2007 with NARD (Natural Aromatherapy Research and Development: Belgium) JAPAN, NARD Aromatherapy Association. Her education includes studying the history, chemistry, and science of essential oils.

• Certified Oncology Massage, trained (48 CE hours) in 2014 through the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage Therapy with Lauren Cates in Virginia Beach, VA.
